On October 25, 2025, Wadihuda Higher Secondary School's NSS Unit and Health Club successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp on the school campus in collaboration with Pariyaram Medical College. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, relatives, and teachers, making it a grand success. The camp provided a unique and enriching experience for the students who got to witness the blood donation procedures firsthand. A total of about fifteen first-time blood donors, including seven students from the Higher Secondary section, contributed to the noble cause.
The Blood Bank team from Pariyaram Medical College led the program, ensuring a smooth and safe donation process. The event was graced by the presence of Vice Principal Mr. Shuhaib SVP, NSS Program Officer Ms. Anitha PP, and Health Club Convener Mrs. Sherin Shahana. Their participation and encouragement played a significant role in motivating the volunteers.
The Blood Donation Camp not only helped save lives but also instilled a sense of social responsibility among the students. Notably, the medical authorities observed that several participants had low hemoglobin (HB) levels, highlighting the need for greater awareness and follow-up action regarding nutrition and overall health. This insight will likely inform future health initiatives and promote holistic well-being among students.
