Wadihuda Higher Secondary School celebrated Vaikom Muhammed Basheer Commemoration Day on July 5, 2025, with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was organized by the Readers Club in association with Vidyarangam, aiming to pay tribute to the legendary Malayalam writer and to instill a love for literature among students. The celebration featured a poster making competition where students showcased their artistic skills by creating posters that reflected Basheer's life, works, and literary contributions. A quiz competition tested students' knowledge about Basheer's life, works, and literary style. An exhibition of Basheer's books provided students with an opportunity to explore his literary works and understand his impact on Malayalam literature.
