The new Public Library, established at the Muttom Islamic Center building, was inaugurated by honorable Member of Parliament Dr. V. Sivadasan. The project was spearheaded by the Wadihuda Higher Secondary School NSS Unit (Unit No. 65) in collaboration with the People's Mission for Social Development.
The event commenced with the prayer song "Manassu Nannavatte" performed by NSS volunteers.
Following the prayer, Mr. Sajith Kumar P.K, Principal of Wadihuda Higher Secondary School, delivered the welcome address, greeting the dignitaries and the local community.
The library was formally inaugurated by the Honorable Member of Parliament, Dr. V. Sivadasan. In his keynote address, he lauded the initiative, describing libraries as the "cultural beacons" of a community. He emphasized that such projects are essential role models for steering the younger generation toward the light of knowledge.
The event was presided over by Smt. Babitha Kumari, President of the Kalliasseri Block Panchayat.
A symbolic moment marking the start of the library’s service occurred when Shri S.K.P. Zakariya (District Panchayat Member) presented the first book to Smt. Muhsina Teacher (Ward Member).
Smt. Anitha P.P., the NSS Program Officer, presented a detailed official report outlining the rigorous efforts and vision behind the library's establishment.
The Chief Guest, Dr. V. Sivadasan, also distributed a special collection of books contributed by the Library Council to bolster the library's inventory.

The library now stands open to the public, housing a vast and diverse collection of books spanning numerous genres. The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Shuhaib S.V.P., Vice Principal of Wadihuda Higher Secondary School.
