The Department of English observed Reading Day 2026 through the "From Editorial to Insight" Competition and the Reading Tree activity.
The competition encouraged students to critically engage with a newspaper editorial and express their views. The Reading Tree was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Aboo Ishaque P. K., who contributed the first leaf and highlighted the importance of reading.
Students, teachers, and non-teaching staff actively participated by sharing books that had inspired them. The programmes successfully promoted reading habits and literary appreciation among the WIRAS community.
