The Department of English, in collaboration with the College Library, organized the Reading Day Quiz Competition on Thursday, 19th June 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Seminar Hall.
The programme began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Riya C. V ., Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the event, who set the tone for the session by highlighting the relevance of reading in shaping critical thinking and knowledge.
The event was officially inaugurated by our respected Principal, Dr. Aboo Ishaque sir , who shared inspiring reflections on the importance of reading culture in academic and personal growth. The session was conducted by Quiz Master Mr. Anand Prabhakar , whose lively and interactive style made the event both educational and enjoyable.
The event was graced by Mr. Devraj (Librarian), Ms. Nivedya (HOD , English Department), Mr. Pradeepan R. C. (HOD, Languages), and Mr. Rajeesh Bala (Assistant Professor, Journalism), along with other faculty members from various departments who actively encouraged and supported the students throughout the programme.
The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. The first prize was secured by ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฟ and ๐ ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฑ from the final year BBA Department. The second prize was awarded to ๐๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ ๐ธ and ๐๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐ก of the final year B A English Department, while the third prize went to ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐พ๐๐ฒ and ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฝ ๐ from the B.Com CA ,Commerce, Department.
The event was a great success, with Mr. Anand Prabhakar ensuring an engaging and intellectually stimulating experience for all participants.
