The Department of English, in collaboration with the College Library, organized the Reading Day Quiz Competition on Thursday, 19th June 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Seminar Hall.
The programme began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Riya C. V ., Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the event, who set the tone for the session by highlighting the relevance of reading in shaping critical thinking and knowledge.
The event was officially inaugurated by our respected Principal, Dr. Aboo Ishaque sir , who shared inspiring reflections on the importance of reading culture in academic and personal growth. The session was conducted by Quiz Master Mr. Anand Prabhakar , whose lively and interactive style made the event both educational and enjoyable.
The event was graced by Mr. Devraj (Librarian), Ms. Nivedya (HOD , English Department), Mr. Pradeepan R. C. (HOD, Languages), and Mr. Rajeesh Bala (Assistant Professor, Journalism), along with other faculty members from various departments who actively encouraged and supported the students throughout the programme.
The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. The first prize was secured by 𝗠𝘂𝘇𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗿 and 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱 from the final year BBA Department. The second prize was awarded to 𝗔𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗸 and 𝗜𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗮 𝗡 of the final year B A English Department, while the third prize went to 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲 and 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝘇𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗽 𝘃 from the B.Com CA ,Commerce, Department.
The event was a great success, with Mr. Anand Prabhakar ensuring an engaging and intellectually stimulating experience for all participants.
