To celebrate the spirit of the FIFA World Cup 2026, the Department of Physical Education of Progressive English School organized the MONSOON WORLD CUP 2026 Inter-Class Sixers Football Tournament on Saturday, 4 July 2026, at Palayam Ground.
The tournament featured twelve teams from Classes IX to XII, with students displaying outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, determination, and football skills in a series of exciting matches. The event created a vibrant sporting atmosphere and encouraged the values of discipline, unity, and fair play.
The participants were encouraged by Middle Section Head Teacher Mr. Babu T and Mr. Shafeek, who appreciated the players' enthusiasm and team spirit.
The semifinal and final matches are scheduled to be held on 9 or 10 July 2026, where the finalists will compete for the prestigious MONSOON WORLD CUP 2026 Championship Trophy.
The school community eagerly awaits an exciting conclusion to this grand sporting event.
