As part of the weekly Dry Day initiative, Progressive English School conducted a Mosquito control and awareness programme on 4 July2026 .
Students, teachers, and non-teaching staff actively participated in inspecting the school campus to identify and eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
Water collected in flower pots, discarded containers and other stagnant water sources was removed. The school premises were thoroughly cleaned , and awareness was created among students about preventing mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue, malaria, and chikungunya by keeping their surroundings clean and dry. Weekly "Dry Day" activities are a widely recommended public health measure to reduce mosquito breeding.
The initiative was successfully carried out with the enthusiastic participation and cooperation of the entire school community.
