As part of International Plastic Bag Free Day , Wadi Huda Higher Secondary School organized a Community Outreach Programme to promote environmental awareness and encourage the use of eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags.
The programme was inaugurated by our Principal, Mr. Sajith Kumar P. K ., who highlighted the importance of reducing plastic waste and adopting sustainable practices in daily life.
After the inauguration, students and teachers visited nearby houses and distributed cloth bags to the residents. They interacted with the local community, explained the harmful effects of single-use plastic bags, and encouraged everyone to use reusable cloth bags in their daily lives.
The programme was coordinated by Ms. Munsira C. M, HST Arabic, and Ms. Saritha P. V, HST Computer. Their guidance and support ensured the successful implementation of the outreach activity.
The programme received a positive response from the local community and successfully raised awareness about reducing plastic waste. It also inspired students to actively participate in environmental conservation and community service.
