The Department of Physical Education of Progressive English School successfully organized a Chess Selection Competition on 14 July 2026 (Tuesday ) at 11:30 a.m on the school campus. The event was conducted to select talented students who would represent the school in the upcoming Vidya Council Chess Competition.
The competition was organized in three age categories: Under-14, Under-17and Under 19. Students enthusiastically participated, displaying excellent strategic thinking, concentration, and sportsmanship throughout the event.
The matches were conducted according to the standard rules of chess. The competition provided students with an excellent opportunity to showcase their analytical skills, decision-making abilities , and competitive spirit . Every participant played with discipline and determination, making the event highly competitive and enjoyable.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the best-performing players from each category were selected to represent Wadihuda Progressive English School in the Vidya Council Chess Competition.
The competition served as a valuable platform for identifying talented chess players and encouraging greater student participation in mind sports.
